Let’s take this party outside.

I know that winter is coming and that it can present some challenges when it comes to outdoor entertaining, but you’re not without options. If you have a deck, patio, or outdoor living space that you use in the summer, you can probably find creative ways to use it in the winter as well – especially if you have part of it covered.

Conversations are more interesting outside. Instead of a ceiling you look up at the sky and your mind drifts to different places than it does when surrounded by walls. I find outdoor entertaining in the winter particularly enjoyable because it’s not commonplace. Have a scarf and mittens party. Drink warm cider and build a snowman. Then watch your friends become kids again.
